The ground reality is beginning to hit the Rajasthan Royals hard. It happened once more as Virender Sehwag brought them to thier knees.
Apart from Abhishek Jhunjunhwala, the Rajasthan Royals did not have much to tout about in their innings, batting first in Ahmedabad, the adopted home.
For the Delhi Daredevils, there was also one man, Virender Sehwag. And they needed only him to vanquish the Royals who struggled to put a target on board. Graeme Smith tried, Naman Ojha tried as did Paras Dogra. But it was Jhunjhunwala who gave the Royals a degree of respectability with a half century off forty-five balls.
If the Royals were never allowed to get away, the Daredevils’ batting did not give them respite. Leading the way was former Daredevils captain, Virender Sehwag, who smashed his way to seventy-five uncompromising runs off just thirty-four balls.
Graeme Smith suffered another injury, AB broke his bat and Gautam Gambhir before him, Shaun Tait never got his game together. That about sums up the eventful batting session minus Sehwag. Once Sehwag comes in to the picture, the runs, statistics become mind blowing.
Safe to say, Sehwag simply took the game away...further than where the Royals hoped they were at the half way mark of the match.
