Andrew Strauss back in top form, as England- West Indies test match hangs in balance

The final Test between West Indies and England is hanging in balance after a brilliant century from Shivnaraine Chanderpaul.

Day three of the fourth test match between the two countries started with England capturing the crucial wickets of all rounder Dwayne Bravo, Marlon Samuels and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin quite cheaply.

Shivnaraine Chanderpaul once again showed his class he hit 136 not out, with 18 fours and a six for West Indies. For England, Ryan Sidebottom continued his good form with the ball clamming five wickets.

Chasing the first inning score of 287, England started poorly loosing the wicket of in-form opener Alistair Cook early but then came the turnaround.

Andrew Strauss struggling for runs and with a failure jinx playing at the back of his mind - this time answered his critics with a brilliant and composed knock of 72 not out, sadly, he didn’t get any sort of support from his teammates as England crumbled to 121 for the loss of four wickets. Kevin Pieterson and night watch man Mathew Hoggard were out for a duck in the dying moment of the day. For West Indies, Fidel Edwards bowled well grabbing three wickets.

With only two days left in the test match, result looks highly unlikely but if West Indies manage to get the remaining six wickets of England in the first session and post a decent total in the second, result can go either way. England has already won the test series, they would love to win it 3-0. On the other hand, West Indies is looking for a consolation win after a spirited performance at Old Trafford.
