Ashes T4 Day 2 Tea: North and Australia Sink England
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Aug 8 2009

If Michael Clarke stole the morning, the afternoon belonged entirely to Marcus North and Australia.
England were officially plunged into crisis by tea on the second day of the fourth Test at Headingley. Clarke may have missed his century, but North was not to be denied in his glorious ascendancy in his short career.
And on North’s career, Australia foraged their way back into a very likely situation with an enormous first innings lead of 343 after being bowled out for 445 at tea.
A little known accolade: Stuart Broad’s six wickets for the innings drowned in a sea or Australian runs.
England definitely need a miracle, or a storm for days on end, to be able to save the Test and the Ashes from here on.
