
Mohammad Azharuddin has found takers who want the ban on his cricket career revoked, thanks to his new beginnings in a political capacity.
Azharuddin was amongst the four Indian cricketers, including Ajay Jadeja and Manoj Prabhakar, who were handed bans following the match fixing scandal of 2000 when the late South African Hansie Cronje brought the curtains down on the so called clean game.
BCCI’s Rajiv Shukla, actor Raj Babbar, were amongst those who are believed to have spoken to Sharad Pawar, the ICC Vice President, and Shashank Manohar, about ensuring that the MP from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh can have his name cleared.
