Bhajji Wants More Tests, Tendulkar Free Entry to Boost Test Cricket
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Aug 26 2009

Harbhajan Singh has a different take from his fellow international cricketers. He wants to play more Test matches and he is very much on the same page as Sachin Tendulkar on an encouraging note for Test cricket.
Bhajji was in New Delhi with the unveiling of the Compaq Cup, the prize that the three nations - hosts Sri Lanka, India and New Zealand will compete for in a ODI tri series.
Bhajji was even confident that even that if team India performed to their full potential, despite the absence of Zaheer Khan and Virender Sehwag with injuries, there was no reason why India could not get their hands around the trophy.

Bhajji also wants to play anywhere between 12-15 Tests and his inspiration comes from watching the Ashes that draw crowds in England. He believed the same could be done in India if contests became more regular so people could develop a taste for it. Besides, he insists players such as himself really looked to be playing Test cricket.
He was also in agreement with Sachin Tendulkar’s theory to throw the gates open to allow school children in for free for Test cricket and get them to turn into young fans that will follow Test cricket in the years to come.
