Boucher: Pitch Preparation Worst
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jan 6 2009

Mark Boucher, whose eighty-seven helped South Africa reduce the gap between first innings score of Australia and South Africa, has slammed the pitch preparations in Sydney.
Boucher is apparently unhappy with the cracks on the pitch at the SCG and in his opinion, is amongst three of the worst pitches he has seen in his eleven year career.
Boucher felt the pitch was underwater and pitch curator Tom Parker did not deny the fact. Instead he justified the move saying they had gone by the weather reports that suggested rain before the Test started and he wanted to avoid a damp pitch when the Test day arrived. He also added that he was not entirely “as happy with the pitch because it was drier than usually preferred.”
