Butt Targets Players Interaction After Younis Hints At Discord
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Aug 10 2009

Ejaz Butt, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, is scheduled to host a meeting during Pakistan’s Independence Day is chalk out grievances in the Pakistan dressing room.
The turbulent Pakistan’s tour to Sri Lanka has seen rumour mills on overdrive and even the Pakistan captain, Younis Khan, has been going back and forth on whether the team is divided.
While Younis Khan denied being a “dictator” within the team, while talking about match fixing allegations, Younis hinted that he expected the senior players to pull up their socks more. This is being interpreted as his hinting as discord within the team, something Pakistan has been fighting denying since their batting collapses in the Test series.
Now Ejaz Butt will use the 14th and 15th of August to meet with the Pakistan cricketers with the intention of ironing out any differences within the team, to make sure that Younis is not running a lone battle against the opposition and not turning against the team in the process as Pakistan now eye the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa after a successful run in the ICC World Twenty20 in England.
