CA Throws Weight Behind New Zealand's Nomination of Alan Isaac

Cricket Australia have not backed down from the reasoning behind the dismissal of self-titled “Cricket Tragic” John Howard. However, they are willing to support the nomination put up by New Zealand cricket for the ICC vice president’s post.
Cricket Australia released a statement to the effect, “Cricket Australia’s Board has today re-affirmed that former Australian Prime Minister John Howard is the best candidate available for nomination for the position of Vice President of the ICC and has decided it will not consider suggesting any other names for the role.
“New Zealand Cricket has proposed its chairman, eminent businessman and corporate governance practitioner, Mr Alan Isaac, for the role and CA will now support that nomination.”
Isaac is likely to face much less opposition than the controversy courting Howard.
