Can't Keep This Man Out of the Action!

Belligerent calmness, perhaps the first time that those two words were used together and that too to describe man who is really contradictory to his own size. There’s no end to what Jean Paul Duminy can do, or so he would have us believe.
Jean Paul Duminy has stamped his name into history, starring in the two Tests that South Africa won to send Australia reeling back nearly two years.
Now Duminy is involved in a losing battle that has seen him perform out of his skin twice in two Twenty20 matches for South Africa only for Australia to show that their new look shorter version team has a little more in them than the Test team showed.
In a rescue act, Duminy scored seventy-eight off forty balls in the first Twenty20 match that South Africa ended up losing by fifty-two runs because of their yet to settle batting line up and also because of the fact that they were simply blown away by Australia’s diamond in the rough, David Warner.
He was once again responsible for adding respectability to the South African total, injecting some life and purpose into the innings with sixty-nine runs in an otherwise dismal scorecard.
The catch he took to dismiss David Hussey was phenomenal and he was even thrown the ball to turn his arm over.
But unfortunately he will be remembered for the misjudged catch that he failed to latch onto as Cameron White lived to survive and tell a success story that made debutant Wayne Parnell go red.
Michael Hussey though sparkled for Australia, even as South Africa rung in fast changes in the bowling department to keep the Australians on their toes. His half-century to go with Ricky Ponting’s fifty-eight and aided by White’s late burst of forty ensured Australia sailed home comfortably for the series victory in the Twenty20 clash.
