Paul Collingwood wants the world to get on and let cricket speak after terror took its toll. But going by the uncertainties in England, Gower can praise Pietersen. But Flintoff and Harmison may still not budge.
Paul Collingwood has come to the realization that India needs cricket. Indeed the terror strikes in Mumbai have ravaged much of recent cricketing memory as the attacks predictably took the first priority. However, with the reality having sunk in, there are also deliberate attempts to get on with life and not let a bunch of misguided men derail life. The emotional, financial and physical wings across all sections of industry have taken a hit as has the business of sport, namely, cricket.
Collingwood is now keen, once the security in charge Reg Dickason gives the go ahead, that England should go to India and complete the Test series and once again revive cricket and interest in the region.
England are already sounding alert perhaps on the excuses when there are reports that the team is not quite together yet in terms of getting their act together because of the ensuing chaos and endless debates of whether the tour is on or not, weather has not permitted a full net session for the England team presently lodged in Abu Dhabi.
Back home, David Gower has been all praises for Kevin Pietersen for boldly undertaking the leadership aspect in convincing the team to tour India after leaving the tour mid way in the wake of the attacks.
But not to shoot ahead of time, Andrew Flintoff and Steve Harmison are apparently still dodgy over their decision and while the skipper, KP, is not going to force the decision upon them, one will have to await the security inspection to be completed before it will be officially confirmed that England are coming to India to tour for the two Test series and that too, in full strength.

In an ideal world, yes.
Sadly it appears sports can no longer exist as exclusive entity when so much of the world is in flux.
