Cook Desires England Captaincy
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Oct 27 2009

Just days after the current England captain, Andrew Strauss, endorsed Kevin Pietersen’s leadership, another England cricketer is eyeing the top post.
Alastair Cook has aspirations for the post of the England captaincy and at twenty-four years of age, he is not shy to want to prove he is capable.
Cook has dropped his name into the hat following speculation that Strauss may decided to break away from the international calendar during England’s series against Bangladesh next year.
If that situation did arise, Cook stated that he would like to take his role of vice captain a step further and try his hand at it.
