Allegations and counter allegations later, things are far from settled in the Pakistan team or Pakistan Cricket Board.
The ICC has denied that the Pakistan cricketers had an opportunity to fix any matches on Pakistan’s tour to Sri Lanka. However, it has not eased tensions within the Pakistan team and the PCB.
Former chief selector, Abdul Qadir, now states that he did not implicate any particular Pakistan cricketer when he referred to match fixing and that he is willing take on any individual who takes him to court over this.
Meanwhile the PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Saleem Altaf, who voice it was allegedly talking about the match fixing in the ICL, believes that his pink slip could be on the cards any time soon because he believes his voice against matters stagnating in the board is not going down well with the already in trouble PCB Chairman, Ejaz Butt.
