CT India Beat WI, But Was Anyone Interested?

India won their final Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa against the West Indies. But by then, nothing about Indian cricket mattered.
The Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, took four catches, Ashish Nehra and Praveen Kumar took three wickets each and Harbhajan Singh even managed to take two wickets conceding an average of less than two runs an over.
Virat Kohli even made seventy-nine runs of the target of 130, Dinesh Karthik managing thirty-four, plausibly not enough to become a natural pick for a replacement to the final eleven.
But with Australia winning against Pakistan off the last ball, it was curtains for India. But it should have really been curtains much earlier.
The West Indies did not enjoy their time on the field. But the enjoyed their fifteen minutes of fame prior to it as the match became one of significant importance for India, while still dependent on the other Group A match.
