Daniel Vettori, Andy Moles Now on Selection Panel
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Aug 23 2009

In a rather unprecedented move, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has promoted captain and coach to the selection panel.
Daniel Vettori, the New Zealand captain, and Andy Moles, the New Zealand coach, will now have the opportunity to directly select the team as they have now been given voting rights by NZC.
It comes on the heels of Vettori asking for more power, especially on away tours when decision making becomes critical. Now that they do have the power, Moles and Vettori know that their relationship with the players becomes that much more important because their selection would have to remain objective.
