Bangladesh’s much accepted proposal to play a Day and Night Test has been scrapped for want of experimentation.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had high expectations of having the first day and night at Lords’s. But the proposal from the MCC had to be shot down after two England counties, Durham and Worcestershire, politely declined to experiment with the pink balls.
Until they can pass the test, given the white clothing that is the prerequisite of Test cricket, the proposal of the day and night Test cricket would stand defeated.
