Sreelata Yellamrazu | Feb 16 2009

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is being consistent not only as a winning captain but also, disappearing every time a domestic match is upon him.
The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA)is flummoxed at Dhoni’s attitude. While Irfan and Yusuf Pathan turned up for Baroda to trounce Mumbai, Dhoni was named skipper to lead against Bengal and Orissa but he has not responded to calls since arriving from Sri Lanka.
Rajesh Sharma, JSCA secretary, was quoted as saying, “We could not contact him. We even tried to do so through his relatives. We were unsuccessful. Now S S Rao is leading the team.Dhoni is a professional cricketer. We thought that if he were free he would have played a match or two for his home side. There was a gap of four to five days between the conclusion of the Sri Lanka tour
and commencement of the New Zealand tournee. But we could not hear anything from him.”

Dhoni’s Absence is a Worry
