Dhoni: Success Incomparable; India Will Play More Tests
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Dec 28 2009

Upon receiving the mace for India touching the pinnacle in Test cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was forthcoming and philosophical about the success for team India.
The Indian captain was over the moon, having received the mace for India becoming the no.1 Test team in the world. And he has not sat down to compare the various achievements of the Indian team under his captaincy.
He also knows that India do not have too many Tests lined up to defend that title and keep it away from South Africa. But he believes that more matches will be scheduled and it will help improve India’s game and squad, especially the bench strength.
Touching on the fact that India have also won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 under his captaincy, Dhoni refused to be drawn into comparison, stating that Test cricket success was in a different league altogether because it had come after fourteen months of consistent performance while the Twenty20 success was a result of a single tournament.
This should inspire India for greater aspirations, whether they continue to be hungry or choose to rest on their laurels will determine where they decide to stay and how long, opportunities notwithstanding.
