Dhoni Thinks India Lost the Match Mentally Despite Tendulkar's Knock!
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Nov 6 2009

The India captain must have felt gutted after India’s loss in the fifth ODI in Hyderabad. That would explain his myriad reasons why India lost the match.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni struggled to explain where it all went wrong for team India as Australia now lead the India Australia ODI series by 3-2.
Admitting that more was needed from batsmen like himself, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir, the Indian captain was also of the view that the bowlers could have restricted the Australians by another twenty more runs. Having said that, Dhoni did touch upon the three dropped catches that could have restricted Australia to much less with Shaun Marsh benefitting twice.
Hoping till the very end of the match, Dhoni believed India lost the match for want of fine tuning mentally to what was required of them at a time when Sachin Tendulkar was laying the impetus and Suresh Raina was acting upon the cue.
As usual explaining away, Dhoni believed that the batsmen fell for the emotions involved at the time rather than backing their skills and ability. Perhaps what Dhoni was looking for was for the batsmen to play with a cool head, perhaps he meant like Sachin Tendulkar.
