FICA Frustrated at 'Outdated' FTPs, and Outstanding ICL Dues
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Dec 1 2009

The Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) is fighting a battle on numerous fronts, not least of it with the ICC and the ICL.
The FICA has once again raised the issue of the ICC’s Future Tours Programme stating that the ICC really needed to look at the changing face of the game and accordingly incorporate them into the plans for the FTP post 2012.
The FICA has also expressed frustration that dues amounting reportedly in the millions are owed to the cricketers who chose to affiliate with the Twenty20 league are not being met at the preordained dates. What appeared to have irked the players’ body is the fact that the ICL had recently announced that it was taking legal action against the ICC amongst others such as the BCCI and the ECB.
The FICA certainly has a few battles on its hands but is having to raise its voice in order to be heard.
