Four Foreign Player Policy to Stay in IPL, States Modi
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Oct 10 2009

Even as the Champions League Twenty20 is only slowly gaining predominance, not quite like the IPL, the IPL Commissioner, Lalit Modi, has stated that the IPL rules will not be bent.
There was a lot of talk last IPL 2 season about coaches wanting to extend the policy of just four international cricketers in any playing line up of IPL teams. Amongst those voices with David Shipperd and former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach, John Buchanan.
However, Modi has maintained that the IPL is primarily a domestic event in India and while it is aimed at boosting domestic cricket, there will be no question of including more international cricketers in the line up.
