In a day and age when the bowlers are crying foul over the increasingly skewed game in favour of the batsmen, Sir Gary Sobers has an opinion to the contrary.
The great West Indies all rounder, perhaps the greatest all rounder of all time, was in Mumbai to honour the 1971 Indian team led by Ajit Wadekar.
Touching upon many achievements and individuals including Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar, Sobers commented on the six sixes he hit in an over against Glamorgan bowler, Malcolm Nash when playing for Nottinghamshire.
Sobers stated that more the adulation he received as a batsman, it was the bowler who was laughing his way to the bank. Hear his witty remark, “Nash made more money than me by going for talk shows in England as the bowler who was hit by me for six sixes.”
