The BCCI selection panel met in Chennai today to select the thirty probable players to make it to South Africa for the ICC Champions Trophy.
Amongst the any names, a surprise inclusion is that of Rahul Dravid, formerly considered not good enough any more for the ODI version. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina, all who missed India’s tour to the West Indies for the ODI series, are expected to make comebacks.
The panel headed by Krishnamachari Srikkanth has found no place for Irfan Pathan, whose performance has been a shade better than Ishant Sharma in recent times. Dravid’s inclusion has perhaps come after he performed well for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2 in South Africa.
