The ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa, the next big extravaganza after the ICC World Twenty20 in England, has been preponed.

The ICC Champions Trophy has be preponed by a couple of days. It was due to start on the 24th of September. Instead it will now begin on the 22nd keeping in mind the players’ request for rest. Travelling has been considerably reduced with choosing two venues that are close to each other. The date of the final remains the same – 5th of October, 2009. The edition was to be held in Pakistan last year but deferred due to political turmoil in the country and now shifted to South Africa.
