ICC World T20: Dhoni-Sehwag Rift Rumours Surface

Even as team India have been dubbed the favourites to recapture the title of champions at the ICC World Twenty20 in England, reports of a rift between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag are once again doing the rounds.

Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan have been sidelined with injury. However, the Indian captain was reluctant to openly answer questions about when Sehwag is likely to feature in the tournament. Rohit Sharma grabbed the opportunity to open the innings with both hands, but it appears Viru’s return remains a major question mark.

Even earlier there were reports that Dhoni and vice captain Sehwag did not always see eye-to-eye and the reason for consternation had been attributed much to do with the captaincy and the fact that Sehwag, like Yuvraj Singh, has always harboured hopes of being India’s captain on official terms.

Now it is unclear what the thought process is in the Indian dressing room, but they are certainly tight lipped on the issue of Sehwag.
