ICC World Twenty20: Fatigue Concerns for Indian Team
Sreelata Yellamrazu | May 14 2009

Coach Gary Kirsten’s biggest worry ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 Championships has been the fatige factor of the Indians players.
The Indian cricketers hardly had time between the tour to New Zealand before rushing back home and to South Africa for the IPL 2 season. The coach cannot help but worry if it is taking too much out of the players. The IPL schedule in South Africa has been a gruelling one as well with the time shortened but not the matches itinerary. It has meant players have been on the move, travelling when they are not playing.
India won the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 championships in South Africa under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and will now start the competition in England, in its second edition, as defending champions, not an easy feat as the IPL 2 will finish only a week prior to the start of the ICC World Twenty20 championships.
No respite in sight for the Indian team yet.
