Ind SA Test Watch Out: Smith And Co Look To Disable Dhoni

Amongst the many battles within the battle will the one between the skippers, on a tactical level.
Prior to the start of the India South Africa Test series, the South African captain, Graeme Smith, deflected the unwarranted attention on his team and the palpable tension over regaining the no. 1 Test team tag by targetting the Indian captain.
Smith has openly stated that South Africa would be looking at Mahendra Singh Dhoni as their top priority. In his opinion, Dhoni holds the key to India’s success and given the huge number of injuries, Dhoni would be under intense pressure to cover up those weaknesses. Smith is hoping to exploit the chinks in the Indian captain’s armour to give his team ascendancy in what promises to be a hard fought series.
Although Smith did win the toss in Nagpur, he could not dent the Indians directly. He will however be pleased with Jacques Kallis’ 34th Test century as well as Hashim Amla’s tough one.
