Ind SL T20 1 Preview: Sreesanth's Diarrhoea Makes Him a Doubtful Starter
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Dec 9 2009

The seriousness of the Test series now gives way to a more extravagant version of the game as India and Sri Lanka clash in the field in Nagpur for the first Twenty20 match.
Sreesanth must perhaps be rejoicing his new found success as he helped India on the road to becoming no.1. But he must be equally embarrassed by the news of his bout with diarrhoea making the rounds. On a more serious note, it will most likely see him miss the first match. Also not playing will be Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan who have been rested.
Sri Lanka may be low on confidence after India’s performance to take the Test series 2-0. But given that Twenty20 is a lot different should give Kumar Sangakkara to license to explore a few options.
Team India will want to keep the winning momentum, that will be Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s priority. It will be interesting to see how Yuvraj Singh reacts to the situation given that off the field, there is a buzz that Sangakkara could take over the captaincy of the Kings XI Punjab team in the IPL co owned by Preity Zinta.
It will be an opportunity for Indian spectators to watch Sanath Jayasuriya in action for the first time on this tour.
