Inzy Says, Make Afridi Pakistan's ODI Captain
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Nov 7 2009

Adding more thoughts to the mix, the former Pakistan captain wants to see a change of guard.
Inzamam ul Haq want Shahid Afridi to lead Pakistan’s ODI squad in addition to being Pakistan’s Twenty20 captain. According to Inzy, Afridi has shown a tremendous amount of responsibility in recent years and more so since taking over the captaincy.
He also felt in contrast, Younis Khan, appeared weighed down and unable to break the shackles in the one day game. Afridi has been mesmeric in the last one year alone, getting Pakistan to victory in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 after which he was appointed captain when Younis Khan resigned.
Now even as Younis Khan entertains thoughts about the Twenty20 game, there may be more going around because while Inzamam has questioned why Shoaib Mallik’s experience was not utilized in the first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand in Abu Dhabi, others such as Rameez Raja were baffled by the decision to leave out the young dynamic Umar Akmal for Mallik in the second ODI.
Younis Khan must have realized - you cannot please them all!
