The Kolkata Knight Riders are not finding the IPL 2 season a breeze, quite unlike the Delhi team.
The Knight Riders had Sourav Ganguly going for them but none else until Ajit Agarkar at the bottom of the heap. It meant that they struggled to post a target of 123 at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and it would become an easy ride for the Daredevils.
Ganguly’s forty-four and Agarkar’s thirty-nine would only the two silver linings in the KKR line up. Ashish Nehra and Dirk Nannes once again got stuck into the opposition with Amit Mishra spinning his way to three wickets.
The chase then became a formality for the Delhi Daredevils as Gautam Gambhir has finally shown his touch with the bat only to be out early but have David Warner and AB de Villiers make marked contributions to get Delhi a facile win by seven wickets with nearly three overs still left in the game.
