Is Gilchrist's Conscience Bothering Him?

It seems that Mr. Honest, Adam Gilchrist, is having guilt pangs. Now after retirement his conscience is forcing him to come clean on all the wrongs done by him during his field days.
After winning the controversial Sydney Test and gathering all the laurels and the mullah, now he wants to clear the records. Now he is writing in his most “Revealing” autobiography “True Colours” that he had wrongly appealed for Dravid’s scalp after he genuinelyt hought that the Indian had nicked the ball, but surprise, surprise he was not a cheater with an ugly win -at -all costs attitude .Oh, really Adam?
Now read on, “The Dravid decision was a howler, but to this day I would have not acted any differently(even after seeing the replays and knowing you were wrong Mr. Gilchrist?) It happened very quickly, there was a noise, the tension was high, I thought??? he’d hit it.We all went up and the umpire gave him out.” Rahul had batted for 2 and1/2 hours for 38 on fifth day of Sydney test before he went forward to an Andrew Symonds off spinner which Gilchrist thought was edged to him.
As per Gilchrist, he felt the ball coming into his gloves at a slightly deflected angle, and heard the noise. He wasn’t 100% sure, but what the heck? he appealed and though Peter Roebuck was surprised Rahul was given out and Gilchrist won, the replays showed that not the ball but his bat had grazed his pad and he hadn’t hit it.
Here the invincible Gilchrist admits that he is not perfect. He did not have slow motion,Hawk eye, hotspot vision. He just thought that Dravid had hit it and he was wrong.
The systematic leaking of controversial bits from True Colours has now proved at least one thing,Gilchrist would go to any lengths to make his book a best seller
