Undeterred by public rejection in elections in his political campaign as well as being evicted from the Bigg Boss season 3 house, Vinod Kambli hopes for a final fling on the cricket field, with none other than Sachin Tendulkar and that too in the IPL!
Kambli was one amongst six contestants who were nominated by housemates to be evicted and it turned out, the public preferred the exit of the quieter Kambli rather than the scheming, conniving housemates.
Speaking with the media after coming out of the house that housed him for the last two weeks as well as with the host Amitabh Bachchan whom he sat across with his wife Andrew Hewitt-Kambli, Kambli stated his desire to play with Sachin Tendulkar one last time and that too on the cricket field in the upcoming IPL 3. He states repeatedly that he wants to show the world the deadly combination that the duo can be.
However, Kambli will need the relenting Mumbai Indians franchisees for that feat because Tendulkar is the captain of the MI team in the IPL. Kambli sought forgiveness from the Bigg Boss house even as Tendulkar celebrated twenty years in international cricket for any previous transgressions, perhaps in references to his comments about Tendulkar and the BCCI during the reality show, Sach ka Saamna.
At this point, Michal Schumacher’s return in Formula One looks more possible than Kambli’s return to cricket.
