Kapil, Monty Amongst Queen's Baton Holders at 2010 CWG

The 2010 Commonwealth Games kick off with the Queen’s Baton saw cricketers amongst a bevy of Indian athletes.
Former Indian all rounder and captain of the 1983 World Cup, Kapil Dev, and England national cricket team’s first Sikh cricketer, left arm spinner, Monty Panesar joined the likes of Olympic gold medallist, Abhinav Bindra, Sania Mirza, ‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh, boxer Vijender Singh and wrestler Sushil Kumar amongst others as the Queen’s baton was first handed to Bindra by Suresh Kalmadi amidst much fanfare in the presence of the Queen Elizabeth II and the President of India, Pratibha Patil, and MS Gill in tow in England.

Bindra Shines on a Day when All Else Fails.
