Kevin Really Wanted to go Home, Strauss Talks!

It is now officially in the open. Kevin Pietersen did want out, because he was indeed “at the end of my tether.” Causing quite a stir, he has even managed to get his current England captain to speak out about the KP issue.
Pietersen was still recovering from the shock over losing his captaincy when he embarked upon the tour to the West Indies. With a dressing room that did not necessarily see his point of view, Pietersen was bound to feel the pangs of having being hurt, and also of being isolated to an extent.
Pietersen was denied permission to fly home to be with his wife between the third and fourth Tests on the grounds that he did not have a reason valid enough to merit his absence. While it is learnt that Pietersen accepted the verdict, that the separation of being away from his wife Jessica who was taking part in a television show was beginning to tell only an already angry former England skipper.
His comments against Shivnarine Chanderpaul have not gone down well with his either his own skipper or the West Indies skipper Chris Gayle and he has now been told to keep his words and indeed his opinions to himself.
While Strauss has spoken highly of Pietersen, he is also extremely worried about the lack of consistent behaviour on the part of KP. Stand in coach Andy Flower though has denied that KP would be anything other than a professional who knew what was required of him and complete the tour as agreed. But it has not been easy for either Strauss or KP thus far.
With just one more match to go, it was certainly be a test of KP’s patience once more, because as far as he is concerned after losing the England captaincy in controversial circumstances, he stating that he accepted the Royal Challengers Bangalore team’s captaincy because people there would back him, and watching England lose, KP was nothing more than to go home. Well, may be he needed to try a little bit harder at the fag end of this tour, that would help him stay focused – a few runs under the belt would have helped immensely.
