John Buchanan may be following Greg Chappell’s footsteps in slamming his coaching experience in India but the Kolkata Knight Riders are not wasting time in narrowing down on another coach for the IPL 3 season.
Shah Rukh Khan, who owns the KKR team, will personally interview the coaches at Mannat, his residence in Mumbai.
Six candidates for the coaching job include Paras Mhambrey, Praveen Amre, Lalchand Rajput - coach/manager of the Indian team during the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa that India won, John Wright of New Zealand- the former Indian coach, Richard Pybus from South Africa who briefly coaches Pakistan and Duncan Fletcher who coached England during the famous 2005 Ashes.
Interestingly Mhambrey is the current coach of Baroda and cannot make himself available for the 22nd August meeting. Besides Amre is already with the Mumbai Indians as coach!
