While former England captain, Kevin Pietersen, is going all abut town claiming England can win the Ashes on reverse swing, Brett Lee has found an unlikely supporter in England bowler, Simon Jones.
Jones himself faces an uncertain future since the 2005 Ashes although domestic discord and divorce did not feature in his career graph like Brett Lee’s. While injuries leave him uncertain about a role in the England team that is blooming at the present moment with James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom and even Graham Onions who has piped Steve Harmison in recent times, Jones is confident Lee is the man for Australia.
In Jones’ opinion, Cardiff, the venue for the first Ashes Test, could prove to be a nightmare for the fast bowlers but has stated, like KP, that it could aid reverse swing, and Jones believes Lee will be the man to exploit it. Jones may no longer be available to help England but they certainly will be hoping that astrology will not be a career option for the fast bowler.
