Lord’s Blows Hot over Lampard’s Pass Up
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jul 27 2009

This is what happens when celebrities do not take their status seriously. Chelsea defender and England international footballer, Frank Lampard, chose to pass up his Lord’s tickets and earned the wrath of the MCC.
Lampard was invited to the second Ashes Test at Lord’s with two tickets. However, instead of himself and his father, Lampard’s tickets were in turn given to two gentlemen unrelated to the footballer and merely referred to as two “East End Geezers”.
The MCC though has taken serious objection to that lapse on the part of the footballer, promptly ousted the men from their tickets in the box that was also to see the Queen later in the day. Lampard though was in Seattle with English Premier League (EPL) club, Chelsea, for their pre season tour.
This is the second England footballer to earn the wrath of public after David Beckham is facing ire from fans of the LA Galaxy upon his return from a five month loan to Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan.
