The kind of days Australia is facing, even with the win against New Zealand, they could use a stinging bowler like Glen McGrath. But that not seem like in the offing though he is coming back to the cricket field to play. But not for Australia.
The former Australian fast bowlers suffered the loss of his wife, Jane, to a cancer relapse in June earlier this year and speculation has been rife ever since that he may not keep his commitment to the IPL team, the Delhi Daredevils.
However, the man has been as invaluable to Delhiās agenda as he has been for Australia. His value, monetarily speaking, should also have seen a raise given that his other hunting partner in the Delhi Daredevils dressing room has disappeared into legal turmoil since his brush with getting caught with opium in Dubai.
The daredevils batting has been in great hands with the Delhi duo, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag, raising a storm and adding Shikar Dhawan in the mix as well. In fact Gamhir seems to have really taken his IPL form into international cricket which has translated into major match winning contributions for India. With Mohammad Asif is doubt, the Daredevils would have had a little shopping to do of their own. Now at least they will not have to go looking for a replacement for Glen McGrath.
