Miandad Against Tampering with Tests, Labels Twenty20 as Junk Food
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jul 29 2009

Former Pakistan cricketer, Javed Miandad, is against the ICC’s proposals to tamper with the Test format. And here is something more that would perhaps anger Yousuf Pathan.
Miandad has stated that the ICC’s proposals for ‘modernizing’ Test cricket were aimed at commercialization and he is hoping that the changes will not come through for the sake of preserving the sanctity of the game.
Miandad stated that reducing Test cricket to four days and having players playing under lights and in coloured clothing would take away from the traditional format of the game.
He has alleged that Twenty20 is like fast food and it is a bad habit in his opinion. He has also stated that cricketers such as Yousuf Pathan were getting greater prominence than more technically sound cricketers who play the Test version of the game and it was because of the spread of Twenty20.
