Morne's Racial Abuse Deftly Handed; SA All Praises
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jan 20 2009

Morne Morkel became a victim of racial abuse in the second one day international. But South Africa are not filing an official complaint, citing they are happy with Cricket Australia’s handling of the entire situation.
South African fast bowler Morne Morkel was apparently called a “kaffir”, a term considered racially abusive in South Africa, during the second one day international. The fan’s indiscretion was caught by a policeman who immediately took appropriate action.
As a result, South Africa are willing to put the incident behind them and with such an overwhelming crowd response, are not in the mood to press charges at this time.
Morne himself stated he was unaffected by the incident at Hobart and it appears with Cricket Australia taking a tough stand that it would pay stadiums lose hosting rights should it happen again, every one is happening to move onto the next match which gets underway in Sydney on Friday.
