No Hopes, Lee and Johnson Under Scanner

The Australian team may have won the first game of the ODI series with India, but Ricky Ponting, the Australian captain, already has a few headaches.
Australia have been dealt a blow ahead of the second ODI with James Hopes aka Mr. Fix It has been ruled out with a right thigh hamstring strain and will not be playing.
Hopes has silently developed into a key member of the Australian squad and in the absence of Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Nathan Bracken and Callum Ferguson who have all succumbed to injuries, Australian cricket can ill afford more.
To add more trouble, Ponting could not avail of Brett Lee’s services after the spearhead bowled six overs but was unable to return another spell, done in by a sore elbow discomfort. It allowed Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar to come very close to ruining Ponting’s day and Ponting will be aware that they have allowed team India to get way from what would have otherwise been a humiliating defeat.
Mitchell Johnson is also having ankle problems and it will be a worry to get both the fast bowlers ready for the second ODI coming up shortly.
