No Tendulkar for NKP Salve Challenger Series
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Oct 7 2009

The NKP Salve Challenger series will see three mainstream cricketers out of action.
Sachin Tendulkar has been granted rest as requested by the BCCI in view of the forthcoming match and series against Australia and also in light of the food poisioning he suffered in South Africa during the ICC Champions Trophy 2009.
But Tendulkar will not be the only one to miss out on the NKP Salve Challenger series, Yuvraj Singh’s injuries have also ruled him out as have Irfan Pathan’s. But perhaps it is the latter who will be ruing his chances more given that the Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has targetted the lack of allrounders as the reason for India performing poorly in South Africa.
