
Australia may have wrapped up the ODI series in England and have three more for academic interest. But eyes are turning towards the West Indies and the problems in the Caribbean ailing cricket.
There are encouraging signs that the impasse between the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) may be edging closer to a resolve.
The WIPA are believed to have agreed to comply with the recommendations suggested by CARICOM (Caribbean Common Market), and showing the first signs of moving towards making a return to the team.
But the ICC Champions Trophy will still field a depleted WI squad, leading to doubts within Australian cricket circles of the merits of playing a team at less than full strength.
Now it appears that the time may indeed heal old wounds.
