The Pakistan cricketers will be missing in action again in the IPL, this time they failed to secure the visas. One man’s loss is another man’s gain or so it may be when the transfer window officially opens.
The Pakistan cricketers have already missed out on IPL 2 held in South Africa and now their places will be filled up by other cricketers in IPL 3.
It comes a blow because Pakistan are the reigning ICC World Twenty20 champions and having already missed them in the IPL 2 would only add further dismay at the turn of events as the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal and Shahid Afridi miss out again. IT has also thwarted the attempts by former ICL cricketers like Abdul Razzaq from changing leagues.
But it appears the England cricketers are currently on the list of the franchisees ( a majority of the Australian cricketers are already signed up) and although the likes of Stuart Broad dismissed thoughts of the IPL 2 participation for the Ashes preparations, that may not be the case this year with more players in the fray such as Eoin Morgan and James Anderson.
Another sub continent loss though.
