Pakistan Take ICC to Court over World Cup Rights
Sreelata Yellamrazu | May 13 2009

When all fails, seek the court of law. That seems to be Pakistan’s mantra regarding the 2011 World Cup.
Pakistan tried to force the ICC into overlooking the security lapse outside the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where several Sri Lankan cricketers were injured as a one off security lapse and that Pakistan should not be penalized into losing their hosting rights to the 2011 World Cup.
When that failed, Pakistan has been wanting to try a switch of venues, stating that Australia and New Zealand could host the 2011 World Cup while Asia would host the one after, 2015 World Cup.
Now Pakistan are resorting the law and taking the ICC to court over its decision to award a majority of the games originally meant for Pakistan to be hosted in India now.
