After a long time since Ashes Test Series started, Panesar gets hold over the Ausies on the first day of the third Ashes Test played at Perth today.
Panesar started with fire in eyes, and soon bowled the Australian opener Justin Langer for 37. Harmison who followed Monty by taking four wickets was the other barrier for the Ausies.
Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Again, with the same old confidence and aggressive mood, they started very well in the morning. England team took the revenge of the last defeat at Adelaide, and when they came to the ground, they seemed in attacking mood.
On the other hand, Michael Husey, the middle order for the Australian squad, justified his role with an unbeaten for 71 at the end of the first-day’s play. He was the fireball for England and made them suffer until the end of the day. Husey proved that the game has not yet finished.
England team started when the time left for only 17 overs to bowl. They were 36 for no loss, when Glenn McGrath bowled Alaistar Cook for 15-runs on the board. Ian Bell was the next man to come to the non-strike end. He faced two balls and was bowled by Brett Lee the fastest bowler, caught behind by wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist, and the score for England was 37/2.
Another man on the crease was Paul Collingwood, who was dropped by the Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne at the slips at four runs on the board. At the end of the day, Australia, 244 all out and England, 51/2 in 14 overs with Andrew Strauss (24) and Paul Collingwood (10) at crease.
