The Andrew Flintoff and the freelance cricketer show is throwing up some serious concerns.
The Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) in England is concerned that the lop sided scheduling of the cricket calendar is likely to see more player burn outs in the near future.
Blaming the proximity to the Ashes as the reason for England putting up such a jaded performance in the ODI series, the association is concerned that this kind of scheduling is going to do more harm on young bodies and force them into taking up the likes of the IPL to earn a fast buck and thereby, hasting their retirement.
It is a matter of concern because England and Australia play their seventh ODI just two days before the ICC Champions Trophy starts in South Africa.
