PCB Revisting Hosting 2011 World Cup with ICC
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Apr 15 2009

The PCB is relentless in their endeavour and not wary of events happening in their own country. They will once again hold counsel with the ICC during their meeting in Dubai this weekend to present Pakistan’s plan for hosting the 2011 World Cup.
The PCB Chairman Ejaz Butt will personally present the ICC officials Pakistan’s plans to host the 2011 World Cup under safe, secure conditions on par with security anywhere else in the world.
Pakistan, who was to host one of the two semi finals of the World Cup, was put in jeopardy as far as hosting rights were concerned because of the March attack on Sri Lankan cricketers outside the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore during their second Test with Pakistan.
With Pakistan’s unstable political situation and the growing reluctance amongst teams and boards to allow teams to tour the region, Pakistan cricket has been put under severe distress.
The Pakistan Cricket Board hopes to show the ICC that it means business by not only coming up with a concrete plan of action but also, show that it has made progress of note in the investigations into the attacks.
