PCB Spent Rs.10 Million For Yousuf to Quit ICL!
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Nov 26 2009

Yes, the figure is right.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) paid Mohammad Yousuf a sum amounting to Rs.10 million to bring Mohammad Yousuf back into the Pakistan fold after the latter joined the Indian Cricket League (ICL). This was an amount that included his central contract payment but also, over and above the promised sum of pay.
Yousuf joined the rebel league after claiming he was being marginalized in the Pakistan team. But the PCB managed to get him to breakaway from the league with the lure of finding him a team in the IPL. But Yousuf’s grumbles were heard again after no IPL franchisee picked him in the auctions.
Now he leads the Pakistan team in the capacity of the captain. And it appears it has come at a heavy price, as also the fact that the troubled fast bowler, Mohammad Asif, was apparently supported by a Rs.9 million expenditure at the PCB’s cost for his legal battles, following his drug riddled journey.
