The Chandigarh Police have been kept on their toes in the fourth ODI staged at Mohali first with the callous behaviour of the players and then, over security concerns at the ground.
The Chandigarh Police are said to have contacted the BCCI via a letter reported the security breach of key Indian players, including Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. The Indian cricketers reportedly left their hotel in Mohali without informing the security specially deputised for their security.
This is not the first incident. Earlier even Zaheer Khan was reported to have disliked the presence of the police questioning his move in a previous series.
But the police would not want any untoward incident to happen and the responsibility thrust on them when the players have not cooperated with the people employed specifically to ensure their safety.
There were also reports of live ammunition found at the ground prior to the start of the match but no further information has been passed on beyond that.
