Australian Captain, Ricky Ponting, is not looking at John Buchanan’s role in the same humourous role as Shane Warne.
Clearly unsettled about Buchanan’s unspecified role with England cricket, Ponting told a local newspaper, “I just hope I don’t see him with an England jumper on. That will be a little bit disappointing.”
Although Ponting claims not to have discussed the nature of former Australian coach Buchanan’s business with the Australian team ahead of the Ashes, he is certainly wary of what is transpiring between Buchanan and Andy Flower, coach of the England team.
